Ending Child Marriage: India Launches Campaign for a Future Free from Harm

As we strive towards a society that values equality and human rights, it is essential to address the issue of child marriage in India. The Child Marriage Free India campaign is a crucial step towards achieving this goal. By raising awareness and advocating for policy change, this campaign aims to put an end to the harmful practice of child marriage.

Child marriage not only deprives children of their childhood but also puts their health and well-being at risk. Young girls who are forced into marriage are more likely to experience complications during pregnancy and childbirth, as their bodies are not yet fully developed. Additionally, child brides are often denied access to education and are more likely to live in poverty.

The Child Marriage Free India campaign works to empower communities to take a stand against child marriage. By engaging with local leaders, religious figures, and parents, the campaign is able to challenge the social norms that perpetuate this harmful practice. Through education and awareness-raising activities, the campaign seeks to change attitudes towards child marriage and promote the rights of children to live free from harm.

One of the key strategies of the campaign is to work with the government to strengthen and enforce laws that prohibit child marriage. By advocating for legal reform and supporting initiatives that protect children from early marriage, the campaign is making a significant impact in preventing child marriages across the country. Additionally, the campaign provides support and resources to child brides and their families, helping them to escape harmful situations and build a better future.

As individuals, we all have a role to play in ending child marriage in India. By speaking out against this practice and supporting campaigns like Child Marriage Free India, we can work together to create a society where every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment. Together, we can build a future where child marriage is nothing but a distant memory, and all children are able to reach their full potential.

She managed to influence the comprehensive national dialogue conference in Yemen to pass and apply a law of criminalizing the marriage of minors under the age of 18 , and that is after launching her first video to rally the international media to denounce the marriage of minors. Below are highlights of her main not limited to her achievement during the awareness campaign she held throughout herlife:
